The attack lasted around 2 hours during which 237 tons of explosives were dropped along with 96,000 incendiaries, causing the centre of the city to become an inferno. The mass grave exists for those killed across the four raids of the Belfast Blitz who were found with items such as crucifixes or rosary beads. It is now a popular tourist attraction in Northern Ireland.
This accreditation illustrates the efficiency of VINCI Airports’ environmental action plan in Belfast airport. Details of the proposed new route have been on display at the Burnavon Arts and Cultural Centre and virtually on the Department for Infrastructure website.
During a visit to the public exhibition today Minister Mallon said: “I am committed to delivering for all communities across Northern Ireland. Last year I announced my intention to progress a number of strategic infrastructure and flagship projects. One of these projects was the A29 Cookstown Bypass so I am delighted to be in Cookstown this week where we are unveiling the preferred route.“The proposed route, which is approximately 4km in length, provides a significant opportunity to remove strategic traffic from the town centre of Cookstown. This will help to reduce traffic congestion, increase road safety and improve air quality".

The viaduct crosses the River Lagan. It is roughly 101m long and 6m wide, having been built to carry only a single track. The viaduct consists of seven arches, 10m apart, with the piers being 1.5m wide.
This will be the first time that Paris-Orly has been served from Northern Ireland and will be a welcome boost for local travellers visiting the French capital and surrounding area.
Northern Ireland is now connected to both the two major Paris airports, showing the commitment of Belfast International Airport and VINCI Airports teams to develop connectivity and bring maximum travel options to their passengers.
